At Grace Family Health, we are committed to keeping our patients, our team members and our community safe and healthy during these unprecedented times. As a practice we have made some changes to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Please check back with us regularly as this may change in the future and remember, your optimal health still remains our mission!

Office and Staff Precautions

  • Plexiglass panels are at our reception and other workstations.
  • Air Sterilizers with Virus-Killing UV-C Light & HEPA Filter are in every room.
  • Employee temperature and symptom screens before work, sent home if ill.
  • As always, strict sanitation & disinfection protocols remain in effect.
  • Strict social distancing standards of at least 6 feet apart, clearly marked.
  • When close contact is required, our staff is equipped with masks, face shields and gloves, to maximize protection.

Patient Precautions

  • All patients are pre-screened by phone and again at the door for any symptoms or possible exposures and a temperature reading is taken before being allowed to enter.
  • If screening indicates a risk of possible COVID-19 infection, patients are then offered a telemedicine video visit, rescheduled, or referred to ER if symptoms are serious.
  • Our waiting room is kept empty and patients are given the option to wait in the privacy of the car until an exam room is open.
  • Patients must come alone unless accompanying a minor or assisting disabled patients.
  • We ask that patients postpone and reschedule appointments if any of their close contacts may have been exposed to COVID-19 within the last two weeks.

Experiencing COVID-19 Symptoms?

  • First, it is important to call 911 or go to the ER if you are feeling short of breath.
  • We provide the opportunity for you to meet with one of our providers by telemedicine, a virtual video visit, to discuss your symptoms and provide possible treatment options.
  • Our providers keep up with the latest clinical updates and treatment options available.
  • We will guide you and order the most appropriate testing options for your case, this includes a coronavirus swab test or an antibody blood test.
  • We will carefully listen to your concerns and prescribe the appropriate treatments.

Telemedicine creates the opportunity for you to have an interactive visit with your provider through Video Chat or Telephone from the safety of your home. We will be delivering quality care through these methods to ALL of our patients.

During this pandemic, insurance companies are treating telemedicine appointments the same as an in-office visit.
